Terms of Service
The short version: you pay once, you get your speech and the tools around it, and you own what you say.
The service
- SpeechPen is a one-time digital purchase, not a subscription. There is nothing to cancel.
- After a completed, non-refunded workspace purchase, you own the generated speech. Use it, edit it, publish it, or deliver it. Your own facts and writing remain yours in every case. If the workspace purchase is refunded, paid access ends and the refunded SpeechPen- generated drafts may not be used or delivered.
- The service drafts and checks speeches with AI assistance. You are responsible for what you actually say at the event.
- The optional $99.95 Human Review covers one preferred speech of no more than 1,000 words. The other three workspace drafts may be shared with the editor as reference context, but do not receive separate edits. A designated review team member provides one substantive editorial pass for structure, flow, warmth, pacing, humor, awkward phrasing, and room safety, then emails the complete revision within 72 hours; we aim to deliver sooner when possible. One limited follow-up adjustment requested by email within 7 days of delivery is included. That adjustment can refine wording, tone, or cuts using the same supplied facts. The service does not include calls, fact-checking, new stories, a different speech, live coaching, unlimited revisions, or a guarantee of audience reaction.
Fair use
One purchase covers one event's speech workspace. Hand editing is unlimited. AI-assisted paragraph polishing, rewrites, room checks, and complete-draft replacements share a fair-use allowance attached to that purchased workspace: 50 units per day and 150 units over the life of the workspace. A paragraph polish, paragraph rewrite, or full room check uses one unit; replacing a complete draft, including that version's first room check, uses two. These limits are intended to allow substantial real editing while preventing automated or unrelated use. Abuse of the service (automation, resale, attempts to break it) may end your access. Any refund decision follows Our Promise and applicable law.
Our Promise and service guarantees
Each $49.95 workspace creates personalized digital content that is immediately available after payment to edit, copy, download, and use. Even so, you have 7 days from purchase to decide it isn't right for you. Submit a refund request through our protected support form within 7 days, identify the purchase, and tell us what didn't work. Once we verify the eligible order and your complete request, we will issue a full Workspace refund to the original payment method. You do not have to prove a defect, and you do not have to accept troubleshooting or another AI revision first. Refunds are reviewed by a person and are never automatic.
The Workspace Promise does not include human editing or a human rewrite. Human Review is a separate optional purchase. It may be cancelled for a full refund before an editor begins work; after work begins, change-of-mind refunds are unavailable and the included limited adjustment is the first remedy. We will refund the Human Review fee if we miss the 72-hour delivery deadline or cannot provide the defined editorial service after that adjustment.
Duplicate charges, incorrect amounts, unauthorized charges, failures on our end, and your rights under applicable law are handled separately and are not limited by the 7-day promise. Full details are in Our Promise.
